Spero Challenge is excited to announce the first annual Ripple-Effect Awards for 2019, available to all students in Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito counties ages 10-20 with qualifying community service projects. The students with the most creative, sustainable, tears of joy evoking, laughter-inducing and ripple-effect making projects will receive prizes between $1,000 and $10,000.
Student winners will choose how to use their winnings to continue ripple-effects of good in our world. Whether that’s continuing their current projects, starting a new one, setting up a scholarship fund, donating to an existing charity or cause, or starting their own nonprofit or business that continues the ripple-effects of good. After completion of their Spero Challenge Project, students are eligible for the Ripple-Effect Awards and projects will be judged by November 30th. Winners will be announced & awarded in December, 2019.
“At Spero Challenge, it is our goal to harness the passion, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of all students by empowering them to identify and solve challenges in their own community,” said Brian Bajari, CEO and Founder of Spero Challenge. “It is our hope that these awards will provide even more of an incentive to empower students to take on these challenges and give them the resources to excel.”
